Watertown woman facing charge after 1-year-old boy falls from roof, police say

WATERTOWN, NYAmanda M. Murphy, 25, of 511 Clay St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, with endangering the welfare of a child.

Ms. Murphy is accused of failing to provide a safe environment and proper supervision for a 1-year-old boy, police said.  “As a result, the child climbed out an unsecured window onto a second story roof and fell to the driveway sustaining minor injuries,” at about 11:51 a.m. Monday, May 6, at 511 Clay St., according to court documents.

She is summoned to appear May 21 in City Court.
