Watertown woman’s BAC was 0.25 percent, deputies say

DEPAUVILLE, NY —  Danielle R. Walker, 39, of 1403 State St., Watertown, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 3:07 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at 32630 State Route 12 in the town of Clayton with aggravated driving while intoxicated and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Her blood alcohol content was 0.25 percent, deputies said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

Deputies said they noticed a suspicious 2019 Dodge Ram parked at a gas station in Depauville and found Ms. Walker asleep behind the wheel of the running vehicle.

She is summoned to appear Dec. 17 in Clayton Town Court.
