WATERTOWN, NY — Wilbur I. Snyder, Sr., 76, Summit Village, passed away Monday July 15, 2019 at the Samaritan Medical Center.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery. A calling hour will begin at 10 a.m. prior to the funeral on Friday.
Wilbur was born Feb. 10, 1943, in Watertown, a son to Schuyler and Pearl Davis Snyder.
He had worked as kitchen help at the Triple “B” in Burrville, the Watertown Farmers Market, as well as other various business’ in and around the city.
His wife Shirley who he married in 1985, passed away on Aug. 28, 2017.
He enjoyed walking and bingo. He also enjoyed cooking for friends and family and had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by a son Wilbur (Shelbi) Snyder, Jr., Chaumont; a granddaughter, Adrianna, Chaumont; three sisters, Ida Vincent, Watertown, Katherine “Kit” Hunt, Redwood and Dora (Ken) Bodah, Watertown; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Shirley, two brothers, Schuyler, Jr. and Douglas, and a sister, Lillian Major.
