WATERTOWN, NY — The funeral service for William M. “Bill” Weaver will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family. Calling hours will precede the service at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Bill passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019, at Samaritan Medical Center. He was 59 years old.
Born Feb. 24, 1960, in Aomori Ken, Japan, Bill was a son to Ben F. and Greta (Porterfield) Weaver. After receiving his high school diploma in Virginia Bill entered the United States Air Force on Jan. 8, 1979.
Bill led a decorated career in the Air Force retiring as a tech sergeant on Jan. 31, 1999.
He married Tina Steigler on May 21, 1988, at Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
Bill enjoyed riding his 1984 Harley, fishing, hunting, gardening, and BBQ’s with family and friends.
Besides his wife, Tina, and his mother, Greta, he is survived by his son, Billy Weaver of Watertown; his siblings, Ben Weaver of Virginia, Joe (Karen) Weaver of Georgia, T.K. Weaver of Pennsylvania, Paul Weaver of Virginia; and his beloved dogs, Rex & Odin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
