WNY woman injured after crashing snowmobile into tree in the town of Watson

LOWVILLE, NY —  The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office investigated a personal injury snowmobile accident Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 18, in the town of Watson.

Deputies report that a 2014 Arctic Cat being operate by Linda Bartlett, 53, Darien Center, was traveling southeast on Trail C8 when going down a small hill the snowmobile exited the right side of the trail and struck a tree ejecting her.

Bartlett was brought from the accident scene to the Moshier Road by members of her riding party to meet ambulance personnel.

She was transported by Lewis County Search and Rescue to SUNY Upstate Medical Center for treatment of a leg injury.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Croghan Fire and Rescue. Croghan fire members also utilized their tracked UTV in the recovery of the damaged snowmobile.
