Woman, 4 children taken to hospital after SUV strikes tree near Boonville

BOONVILLE, NY — State Police in Remsen are investigating a one-car crash that occurred Monday, Oct. 8, on Egypt Road in the town of Boonville, Oneida County.

Investigation has revealed a 2005 Jeep Cherokee, operated by Marissa M. Loomis, age 34 from Lee Center, NY was traveling east on Egypt Road and approaching a curve in the roadway, at an unsafe speed, when the vehicle traveled off the roadway, went airborne and struck a tree, troopers said.

Marissa Loomis was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica with non-life threatening injuries. Haley M. Loomis (age 14), Lillian Corigliano (age 14), Adalynn M. Loomis (age 9) and Waylon J. Loomis (age 4) were all passengers in the vehicle and were transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica with non-life threatening injuries.
