WPD Update: Bronson Street incident

WATERTOWN, NY —  At 11:47 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, members of our uniformed Patrol Division and our Criminal Investigation Division investigated an obstructing government administration complaint at 809 Bronson Street in the City of Watertown.

It was alleged that Nicholas McKnight would not allow parole officers from New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision entry into his residence to perform a mandated house check as a condition of his community supervision and further hindered their entry by telling them he had a gun.

On this date, Nicholas W. McKnight, a 27-year-old male residing at 809 Bronson Street in Watertown, was charged with obstructing governmental administration in the second-degree, a class A misdemeanor.

He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Watertown City Court and was turned over the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
