WATERTOWN, NY —Â The Watertown Police Department released the following statement on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019:
“On this date at 2:13 AM uniformed patrol officers were detailed to the 900 block of Water St. in the City for a report of a vehicle striking a utility pole. Upon their arrival, they found the pole was severed and suspended by the power lines. The 39 year old female operator was still inside her 2001 Ford Ranger truck. She was transported to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment by Guilfoyle Ambulance.
During the investigation, it was necessary to close Water and Marble Street.
The accident is still under investigation.
We are asking persons who may have witnessed the accident to contact our department at (315)782-2233 and leave a message for Ptl. Matthew Gooshaw, who is investigating the accident.
