WATERTOWN, NY — After 20 years, we are sad to see Jeff Nelson leave the Channel 7 family.
Jeff started out as a reporter when he first arrived at WWNY, then produced and anchored our 11pm late local newscast, took on the responsibilities as Assistant News Director, taking the helm as news director two years ago. Jeff will join an international company serving as a Content Design Manager and will handle internal communications. His final day is June 1st.
Promoted to Interim News Director is Jeff Cole. Cole, another 20-year veteran of the newsroom and West Carthage native, will continue as Managing Editor and Anchor of WWNY’s flagship 6pm newscast.
